Spent a month there on my weekend college tour... coldest, dreariness, windiest,, campus I've ever seen. Reminded me of Parkland hospital with 45.000 of my closest friends]. Even the US Air force (Rantoul AFB) left, tiered of paying hardship premiums, I guess.

I spent the first 16 yrs of my life in Northern Illinois shoveling snow. Lots of corn and
lots of cold weather and snow in Jan & Feb. I bet he'll love it.

Actually high school basketball in Illinois is very big. Great rivalries and hard fought
games.

Urbana-Champaign is one of the most boring places that I've visited. UIUC built their library underground so it wouldn't shade a cornfield - that says it all.

Go eat a burger at Farrens - the best buger in Illinois (I was told to go there once by an Illini friend - and it didn't even register on top 100 Dallas burgers)
