Those were 2 pretty stout defenses playing with a lot of intensity. Have to give the frogs credit for going down to Austin and winning that game. Dream season so far for Sonny

Sonny apparently was determined to get back to a P5 job (preferably in Texas) and may have realized it just wasn't happening at SMU...and he may not have wanted anything to do with the PAC 12 after the Cal experience. Lots of pressure at UT so he may have preferred Tech, TCU or Baylor for that matter. We just need to move on and appreciate what he did contribute here. Hopefully Lashlee can build a legacy here and keep the series with TCU as competitive as it has been in recent years.
For all the publicity that UT quarterback (ewers) gets, the reality is heΓÇÖs living off from his time from high school. He couldnΓÇÖt cut it at OSU and instead of staying on, he saw the writing on the wall that he would never be a starter there, then bolted and probably got more NIL money going back to UT. He was terrible last night. IΓÇÖve been impressed by the toads QB - the guy is playing really well in a very week B12 conference. I think TCU is probably fourth or fifth in the SEC, still really good but certainly not 4th in the country.

IΓÇÖm not sold on Ewers either...watched UT-Ok St, he was terrible in that game, 19/49 passing and 3 Ints

Chandler Morris's injury forced Sonny to start Duggan. I always thought that Duggan was the better QB. TCU would not be undefeated with Morris starting. Chandler's misfortune was Sonny's blessing.

1,000% true on all counts. Blind squirrel finds an acorn. SD is luck, luck and more luck.
Sonny feeling better and better about his decision and now his "year one" at TCU is going to be tough to duplicate. With Tennessee's loss yesterday and Michigan/Ohio State about to bump someone out, TCU is in position to earn a Final Four spot with that win vs Baylor.
Meanwhile, in the wacky AAC, Houston bounces back and wins 42-3 @ ECU while Navy wins 17-14 @ UCF. Wouldn't have predicted either of those outcomes. Memphis warmed up for the finale @ SMU with a 59-0 win vs N. Alabama (who?)
Tulane vs Cincinnati is shaping up as the AAC game of the year
