I think it's a bit lofty for you to think we're only 4 pt underdogs at a neutral locale.

Tech, like most offences will be better later in the year than the first game

With comfortable 2nd half 21-6 lead, the unrestrained ego of Leach cannot go easy. Bombs away play calling by Leach gives us a couple of INT & we steal it in the final minute 23-20.
Despite the road upset, PB stills offer to whip Leach's [deleted] @ 50 yd line. There are no takers.
I see Tech ran the old "lose a point play" in the second half.

I really think that this game will be closer than anyone realizes. With the new clock rules, Tech does not get as many touches, our defense won't get as tired, and the game time temp will keep them fresh. With a game time temp of 70 and the possibility of a wet field look for SMU to keep this close.
I expect D-Line pressure on Tech all night long and Graham Harrell is going to find out what Palmer and Kolb found out about the SMU pass rush at the end of last year. Expect short passes to Martin and Kennedy to set up strikes to Bobby Chase who is always good for at least 75 yards and a TD against a Big 12 opponent. Still don't think we have enough in the tank and it might take a late 4th qtr surge to beat us but I do not expect a blow out like others have predicted.
First, can I just say that I don't care for Lubbock? There are some crazy women out there. I predict SMU will be able to run the ball with some success and keep the score lower plus we get 2 interceptions.
Is Hicks playing to TTU? I heard he was an academic casualty for the first game.
