I don't think SMU is trying to steal an ECU tradition as much as Phil probably remembered that at K-State they would always do the "and that's good for another Wildcat....""

Ye must admit that the timing of the new "MUSTANGS" 1st down cheere be a wee bit fishy, me matey.
Couldn't ye just have taken our practice of referring to our fanbase as "________ NATION" instead? Thats should be original enough fur ye, don't ye think?

ScourgeOf7seas sees that ye Ponies be slow to detect sarcasm. "_______ Nation" has to be the lamest, cheesiest, overused term in sports. That be why I was offerin it to ye. Arrrrgh!
We Pirates actually like arrrr! 1st down cheer. That be why we don't appreciate ye weaselin' it from us like ye be doin!
