Statistics can be mis-leading...I understand that...but over a long enough period of time...they can be extremely illuminating.

SMU Ranked #171 in Football
SMU Ranked # 332 in Basketball
you FINALLY throw out some stats...but they are misleading because they are 1 sided stats...cant see how SMU is 171 in football considering there arent even 171 D1 teams...
give me some more stats that compare other bad schools to SMU and maybe ill see what youre saying

I have been on this ..we are the worst athletic program in all of college for the past 3 years. All I have been throwing out is stats..
BTW, Sagarin ranks D1-AA schools (such as App State) over us, that is how we got the #171 ranking.
Sagarin's average ranking for us over the past 5 years is...
#131 for FB and #179 for BB....(for BB, we are currently ranked #332, I am ASSUMING we end the year #250).
So our average ranking over the past 5 years in FB and BB per Sagarin is #155.
If you want to find a program worst than that...be my guest. I will gladly continue this debate.

plus SoCal Pony those 8 schools below us in BB do not have Division 1A Football
