I deleted that post because after I posted it the banner color came back up looking the same color as my it does now on my home monitor...that was weird.RednBlue11 wrote:its the monitor calibration not the website...try adjusting your brightnessPK wrote:Hmmm. On my company monitor the color of the banner looks the same today as it used to look...dark navy blue. Man on my home monitor last night it looked like bright primary blue and the old color on my home monitor used to be the dark blue. I don't get it.

Re: Colors on PonyFans.com
Ask and yee shall receive! Awesome job SmooPower- I am loving these new colors!Mustang98 wrote:Had some beers with MustangIcon tonight in Houston and we were talking about the new SMU colors and uniforms. After getting on PonyFans tonight, I was wondering how difficult it would be to change the blue and red on PonyFans.com to be more like the new "Pony Express" blue we are sporting on the field?
As SMU wins more games and goes to bowls, we are going to get more visitors that are not just alums but people who want to be associated with a winner. If that is the case, it would be good if our very own PonyFans site represented our current colors.
P.S. If there is a copyright on the color forbidding anyone but SMU from using the color, then please disregard this post.

Who knows? Until we see the real thing I'm not sure what our new blue looks like. Based upon the blue in the Tulsa photo above and the new PF.com colors it looks close. Guess we could go to Tulsa's Admin site and look for the schools official pms color for blue and compare it with ours.NavyCrimson wrote:PK - are we really using Tulsa blue in our jersey?

Thx PK & Stallion.
If we would just stick with the school colors (from our founding), we wouldn't even be discussing this stuff. We've got the best colors in Harvard crimson & "Yale" blue anyone can imagine & then we want to use everything else under the sun but those colors. Every other school sticks with their's except us. Hell, why don't we just go with fuschia & pink?
After all, when we finally get tired of these "new" colors or someone again wants to change their mind or when we get a new president or athletics director again, we'll probably still be making a change.

BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!
For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.
