Had some beers with MustangIcon tonight in Houston and we were talking about the new SMU colors and uniforms. After getting on PonyFans tonight, I was wondering how difficult it would be to change the blue and red on PonyFans.com to be more like the new "Pony Express" blue we are sporting on the field?

As SMU wins more games and goes to bowls, we are going to get more visitors that are not just alums but people who want to be associated with a winner. If that is the case, it would be good if our very own PonyFans site represented our current colors.

P.S. If there is a copyright on the color forbidding anyone but SMU from using the color, then please disregard this post.

And fear not, re: copyrights. No institution owns a particular color ├â┬ó├óΓÇÜ┬¼" we're good on that.

Actually it is a good idea. It is not a compliance issue, it is about clearly establishing a consistent and strong brand. Good catch. Can you imagine UT using Tennessee Orange?
