Willie Davis was No. 6
Chad Elsey was around No. 14- 16
Then they had two big guys who were approximately in the low to mid 20s
#2 in the state of Texas, today, would likey be a 5 star I would think, if not right on the cusp. So Sass has high 4* likely.
#6 is Texas is definitely a 4*, Willie.
SMU has had quite a few players in recent years ranking in the mid-teens to 30 range in the state of Texas. D-Rob was #10-12ish. Harp was #14. Alex Malone and Leslee Smith both top 25 guys (Smith maybe even top 15?). BHop and Dez. Heck, Chris Ray was the #23 C in the nation according to rivals, his ranking in the state had to have been decent. Plus the 3 guys we have mentioned above. I have no idea what Damon Hanc*ck or Q Ross were ranked coming out of highschool but I would guess they would be no worse than low 20's.
This year, Cannen, Jones, and Manuel should all be top 30 guys, with Cannen leading the pack as a possible top 10 in the state. That would be my rough guess. PonyDoh or Pappa may have more insight there.
