I know that they get really hot, in fact, we usually have to cut the heat down...but if the wind is blowing, all bets could be off! I, too, am hoping for nice weather....we were spoiled last year being in Hawaii and I'm not looking forward to sitting out in the cold...which, of course, I will do to watch my Mustangs.. :-)

Because as June has stated this is an on-going process to change the mentality of not
just the team, the students, the administration, the fans, everything. So yeah
they are learning as we go. Baby steps for the web-site, baby steps for post-season planning,
baby steps with tickets. Are we where we need to be as far as being on-the-ball with
this kind of situation? No, but I think they are learning from each new experience. No one
there has ever had to deal with this Blvd-In-Dec before. But boy isn't this a GREAT PROBLEM
to have! I'm with ya RednBlue, but as our success continues I expect some of these rookie
mistakes to improve.

PonyLove has it right. I use the plug in electric warmers.

Mestengo/OTP check your PM's.

I/we plan on tailgating at the Mustang Militia Officers Tent/BUS Stop for this game.
I am working a fun give away idea too!

If you don't have electricity, then you need to go with chafing dishes and sterno and hope its not too windy. If it is, then you might consider a change of menu that involves a grill.

Just got off the phone with Ali at SMU and confirmed/paid for our regular Blvd spot.
I hate cold weather, so I may be so bundled up I resemble the Michelin Man, but the
Special Delivery Blvd spot will be open for the first ever SMU Bowl Game at Ford Stadium.

Just spoke with Ali at SMU again and for those reserving Blvd spots for the Bowl Game, Ali said he will be mailing out sometime next week BLVD passes (so we can get past the yellow shirts) just like the ones we use during the regular season. Earlier when I spoke with him I believe he said they will close the Blvd to traffic at 9AM or 9:30AM. Sorry can't remember. Ali also stated we can start tailgating on the morning of Dec 30 pretty much as early as we like within reason. I think he meant like 7AM. Call or e-mail him if you have questions. By the way we are lucky to have Ali on the SMU Athletic Department /Ticketing/Sales Staff, he is patient, friendly, has a great attitude.

Email sent to BLVD spot owners:

Mustang Fan,

By now, hopefully you are aware that SMU will be playing Army in the Armed Forces Bowl on Thursday, December 30th at 11.00am at Gerald Ford Stadium.

As a Boulevard Season Space Holder, you will have first rights to purchase your Boulevard space for this game. The cost of your space will be $200 for each location.

If you are interested, please reserve your space by contacting me on 214/768-4886. The deadline to reserve will be this Friday, December 10th at 5.00pm. After this deadline, all spaces on the Boulevard will be open for general sale.

All rules and regulations will apply as normal for the Boulevard on this game. The only change is that the Boulevard will close to traffic at 9.30am on the 30th. You must be set up for tail-gating by that time.

The same rental opportunities will in place for this game with Ducky Bob’s and Aramark.

If you have any questions or to reserve your space, please don’t hesitate to contact me

Thx

Ali

According to the original draft of Boulevard rules. UP and the campus is open from midnight to midnight of gameday. Many time I used to park my RV on the Boulevard and party that night.
(that is where the BUS came from)
If the weather is not too cold, the Mustang Militia may camp out. That is if the natatorium is open in all night and in the morning to take a shower.
