I didn't say any of that. I just pointed out they have at one point or do currently wear them. Besides Oregon, I believe all the teams wear them once a year or only for big games.
I will say that with the exception of TCU, Oregon, Boise and maybe one or two others the "pro combats" are more consistent with the team's normal uniform, i.e. classic look. I'd be interested in seeing what Nike did with our classic look and from which era they would choose.
Again, you keep on acting like I'm campaigning for an ugly TCU like uniform, when in fact I'm asking SMU to align itself with partners that will help further the program. You are mostly dead on in your analysis on how TCU got to where they are, but you seem to be ignoring other aspects such as their affiliation with Nike and somehow being anointed an underdog project for Nike. The pub they have received the past few years with those ugly unis was worth a large sum.
I don't know why you feel the need to swing your [deleted] about how much college football you watch. I watch a lot of college football, but I couldn't and don't care to quantify how much I watch. If it makes you feel better, go ahead and chalk that up as a victory for yourself.
