Only if you can beat those teams on a somewhat regular basis.......otherwise it's the "same old SMU".

The issue is gameday experience, and being competitive is key. BTW last I looked we have a one game winning streak vs. tcu, looking for two. But maybe that is why you phrased your post the way you did.

I remember one of the SMU coaches said he liked how the band used to relentlessly play Peruna when the other team had the ball. I'm guessing he never walked over to the band and told them this.

What happened to the days when they played Knuck if You Buck on the kickoffs? That got our players hyped up. It was only a few years ago. I liked that.

It was greatness the first time they played it which I believe was after the 0-12 season and we were well into the next season winless. Was it the same game where the guy put on the visiting team football helmet and went out on the field?

I remember that 1st "knuk if you buck game", it was cold and raining..... and we went 0-12
