Could this be a year where we don't beat a team with a winning record?StallionsModelT wrote:6-6 with wins over Memphis, So Miss, and Rice.
We lose to UCF and Tulsa.

If we were so lucky as to be in the Big 12, our now brutal OOC would be our brutal conference foes. We damn well better be able to at least compete with them. Last year we were begging the Big 12 to invite us in to the conference because we were "BCS ready". Really?Billy Joe wrote:If the morons in the AD Dept. would ease up on the brutal non-conference schedules, then we do not have this discussion. This team has the talent to win the rest of the games. If the QB continues improvement and limits interceptions then we are going to be a tough beat at the end of the year.

We could drop down to a lower NCAA level and maybe be champions every year. Would that make you feel better? Really?
The low level of expectations here is sad.
CUSA is not very good this year...PonySnob wrote:Could this be a year where we don't beat a team with a winning record?StallionsModelT wrote:6-6 with wins over Memphis, So Miss, and Rice.

Really really is.PK wrote:The low level of expectations here is sad.
PK, I think we are looking at reality over high expectations. This year we had 3 BCS teams and were not really competitive. We have to face reality at some point. Next year we have 4 OOC games against BCS opponents while going into a BCS conference. As our new AD said we need some games that we don;t have to play almost perfect just to be in the game. I mean it is not like we are our recruiting have half the kids in it with BCS offers. So we have to temper expectations of unrealistic expectations. Remember this team lost to Tulane. While we diod beat a bad Houston team you don't go from losing to Tulane to beating 2 or 3 BCS teams in OCC. Again we have to look a the reality of what we actually have.PK wrote:If we were so lucky as to be in the Big 12, our now brutal OOC would be our brutal conference foes. Welcome to the new America! Make everything easier, don't hurt anyone's feelings, and make sure EVERYONE gets a gold star and is just so so special.StallionsModelT wrote:What a bunch of sissies. You want to drop the only games our fans care about (A&M, Baylor, TCU, Tech, etc) so that we can watch games in 1/4 full stadiums against creampuffs? Screw that. I'd rather go 3-9 and know we weren't scared of anyone than go 8-4 with five wins against teams that should drop their football programs.
Grow a pair. Good grief.

Man, we play some bad bad football teams. It's no wonder why people don't come out to the games.
