I don't remember the fatigue issues described there, but Wimbley is not the same guy who arrived at SMU two years ago. Yes, he dropped weight for the move to running back, but he's not just lighter — he's pretty lean, too, and powered through a lot of running during summer conditioning workouts and at practice. I don't know whether there has been any discussion about him moving back to defense (I think the coaches like him at running back, but that doesn't mean they don't think he can play defense). All I'm saying is that he is in far better shape than he was when he arrived.
