No. It will make them look less than they are. We are the home team. Red is our home color.

An outsider watching the game on TV will see us in red uniforms and a lot of red in the stands. That is a plus for us.

Right. Anyone wearing the home team school colors will look like supporters of the home team to a tv viewer. And we shouldn't assume Tech will outnumber us as one poster did above. We made that assumption before playing TCU at Ford last year and we outnumbered them significantly.

Tech fans thinking they will outnumber us is a joke. TCU said the exact same thing that year which also happened to be a Friday night game and that place was jam packed with SMU fans. Believe it or not, SMU fans show up for night games...especially when it's the first game. Not worried.

We will have a lot of fans wearing white, and people watching on t.v. will think only those

people wearing blue or white are our fans.

Thank our athletic department for announcing the "white Out'. Without it, we would be arguing over the big horsey or little horsey, Black jerseys and 'official' game day threads.

It sucks that the game is a week away cause that give us just 7 days to whine and complain about what to wear.

Gosh we sound like spoiled women!

Dude, I don't think anyone is complaining about having to actually wear white. It's just a stupid idea, and if it's going to be a thing, maybe the bookstore (which is quickly becoming one of the only non-cyber stores to carry SMU merch) should be prepared with some white gameday shirts.

White isn't a school color!!! It has nothing to do with someone telling us what to do. The athletic department declared that students should wear red on Fridays, and I think that has taken off. That is a good idea because red is a school color. What don't you understand about this reasoning which has been mentioned multiple times in this thread?

This happens every year. Get used to it people. It's not that big of a deal. All we need to worry about it is getting drunk on the blvd, going to the game and being as loud as possible. That is all.

And wearing white.
