This is politics, pure and simple. So KC is the number one RB in Houston, but he can't sniff the field at SMU? Doesn't June have some type of relationship to Line's family? I know this is blasphemy but neither Zach or his brother Prescott are game changers. They are decent running backs and good on special teams...not game changers. KC is a game changer.
Wow.... I'd love to hear your take on the Kennedy assassination...

From the Memphis Commercial Appeal:
It's been an ideal marriage between Line and SMU, one arranged by Bill Keenist, the Detroit Lions' senior vice president of communications. Keenist's son played with Line in high school and Keenist sent a DVD of Line's highlights to SMU coach June Jones, a former quarterbacks coach for the Lions.

I'm just thankful we had depth at the RB position. When was the last time we had a quality RB after the 1st and 2nd teamers went down with injury?

Without decent OL play, we could have Dickerson back there and it wouldn't matter. So far the running game has been less than impressive this year outside of one long run by KC.

I know it's just one game that KC has played in, but what bothers me the most is that it seems like the staff can't even properly evaluate their own players. I bet there are a lot of better WR's sitting over some of our starters too.

Remember Wimbley went from nose tackle to starting RB to in the dog house to linebacker. So KC could go right back to the bench.
He has been there while we went through Z Line, Wimbley, Williams, Shead, and P Line. Wish he had gotten some opportunities before this.
Hopefully the coaches use him going forward. From one game he looks like a player. The touchdown he scored was gutty - he got hit in the backfield then broke two other tackles. You gotta find time for a guy like that.

Zach wasn't a flashy player but calling him average makes me think you are blind. How do you think he racked up those numbers? With our amazing o line? (Sarcasm)
Hope KC gets a chance. Guy looks like he is on horse steroids.

Zach was a great player for CUSA, but please don't say that he was head and shoulders above all the rbs that came out of TX during that same time frame. We caught lightning in a bottle with him, but we don't need to be overlooking TX recruits for diamonds in the rough. You guys have diamonds in plain sight down in TX. I would never leave the state of TX to recruit a running back. A lineman, maybe.

What does your post have to do with the comment you quoted? Who said Zach was head and shoulders above all the running backs that came out of Texas during that same time frame? Congratulations on destroying the strawman though.

This program has to decide what it's going to be. Will we give scholarships to our friends kids or will we win football games? I bet the Aggies aren't in the business of giving friends' kids schollys. Thats why they are in the SEC now. How about that strawman!
