Cincinnati did not steal SMU's game presentation. The guy who left didn't run game presentation. He made and ran videos, and he's very good at what he does, but his departure did not decimate the in-game atmosphere.

Well that explains a lot...... Aside from beans or pony battle cry, the band is a [deleted] buzz kill

Thanks for making that clear.
Clearly though the people that run the game presentation are not executing in the same way they did last year. I just hope everyone on this site who's complaining is actually making calls today bc that’s the only way this gets fixed.

More people (most likely older) made calls to have the DJ time limited and band time increased.

Thanks for the correction. My understanding is that in addition to creating videos, he heavily influenced the order in which things were done as well as was involved in music selection. he built the "storyboard" the game presentation flowed from...
If that is incorrect, please let me know!
And if you don't want to throw anyone under the bus by saying what changed, at least give the people you know the appropriate feedback that people don't like the change

. And let us know if they are ever going to change it back...

Again what changed is that more people complained to them directly about the music. As crazy as that sounds. So they tried to thread the needle a little between band and DJ. This as we can see was a HUGE mistake.
Only way for you to fix and give feedback is to CALL THEM. They are only going to take it seriously if they hear from you directly.

I would love to hear from or know who is complaining. We don't beat #6 Cincy or UCONN last year without the LOUD music/energy/environment. Has anyone on here even THOUGHT about complaining to an arena/school/event EVER? It would be great to hear how Cuban would respond to such a ridiculous complaint.

Agreed. The point is the made they call though. Unless you pick up the phone and complain on the other end they wont hear you.

I am a band alum but capable of being objective on the subject. I question what value the, or any, band really brings to basketball. Football, yes, but I have not felt the band add value since we upgraded our game presentation.
