I do think lost in the June Apologetics he had a valid discussion point in that, per the rankbyoffers site, we are 4th in average per recruit behind Houston, South Florida, and Central Florida.
Have the Florida schools stepped it up or is this a work of the ratings system? That site values an aggy offer at double the points of a Syracuse offer, for example.

I give Jason some credit in that he is focusing (or trying to anyway) on rank within the conference in each year. Rivals inflated 3-stars in a year or two should apply to the other teams within the conference as well so it is reasonable to see how we ranked within the conference even if everyone's average is inflated, right? If not, why not?
And by the way his list shows SMU at 8th in the conference on rivals in 2013 so it does not seem like he is trying to point to that as a great year.
He is also looking across three different sites across multiple years so to totally discount it because of one year on one site seems wrong, especially given that he is trying to discuss rank within the conference not compare average stars across years.

If we give Dave Blewett a shot at his unused eligibility can we cou t his original 1980s offers?

Seriously....the universal vaginosis rampant across this board and overpowering this topic is hilarious!
"Don't you look at me with that tone of voice!"
"Damn kids, get off my lawn!"
Sadly, some valid points were obfuscated by utter stupidity and emotional weakness. This thread became such a soup sandwich that Footballdad decided he no longer needed to troll it. Congratulations...you are close to breaking the internet.
Crap, even the spambots left this one alone!

Thank you, I really appreciate that.
I'm not posting any of this to try and support the previous group of coaches. I want to be able to say that this particular class blows everything that they did out of the water. It would be great because it would put us on the full upswing. I'm just not sure it is quite there yet.
That said, if we can finish the year 3rd, 4th or 5th in the conference in average stars and offers, that would be an outstanding achievement coming off two poor record seasons, and would be way ahead of where June was at the same point, especially considering the current conference is much more difficult to recruit against.

What would be great is if you'd take a self-imposed 1 year sabbatical in analyzing football talent

He is not analyzing football talent he is comparing how various recruiting services ranked our talent compared to our conference peers' talent across a number of years.

Best way to analyze our recruiting, if we win some games in the next few years. We can all throw stats back and forth but a lot of it is subjective. The results won't be.
