I am on-boared with the Lashlee hiring - young and has delivered results. We are gambling by not hiring a veteran head coach at a time that we have to be successbul. The key will be hiring a GREAT Defensive Coorinator - we need to up the budget for DC and all of the assistants. Surround Rhett with a top notch group!

I'm excited about the potential Lashlee hire. Fantastic offensive mind.

He’s also seen how several different head coaches and programs operate. He’s experienced highly successful seasons and some up and down seasons, and I’m sure learned from all of it. Gives him a lot to draw from in making the move from coordinator to HC.

Agree, getting a solid defensive coordinator is key. Not only a strong DC mind, but a DC that can totally run the show on the defense and alleviate some pressure for a first year HC.

The awareness of the school, many of the players, the general offensive game plan and the recruiting territory are all pluses.

I am hopeful someone like Lashee would also minimize player and recruit defections that come with HC changes.

I hope Lashlee coaches the Bowl game.

Won't be similar situation to Frisco as Lashlee is so familiar with the team, personnel, offense, etc. etc. and hopefully rest of coaches stay on his staff as well.
