and we chose the k-mart route. looks like even the 'circle' has quit supporting our programs. So SMU, happy being second-class in a third class league. This is just what little rickey and RGT want.
I want initially excited when Sonny D was hired, but he turned out to be good. If he gets the gig, Lashlee could do just as well. So much better than Sanders.
K-Mart? Come on. Rhett Lashless has held some important coaching positions for being 38 years old.
Lashlee has been OC for Auburn and OC for the Miami Hurricanes. Those are pretty big programs.
Coach Lashles is only 38 years old and should relate to players well. Lashlee was a finalist for the Broyles Award, given annually to the nation's top college football assistant coach.
I think Coach Rashlee was the primary recruiter of QB Preston Stone, one of the highest rated SMU recruits since the DP.
Bus- my comments refer to the fact that it looks like we will not be hiring a championship level proven head coach but instead looking for a 'cheap' bargain. Another poster made the comment that this h.c. decision would not be harts but one made by the big supporters of our sports programs. If that is the case then it seems they have thrown in the towel on advancing our programs to a higher level.
hart has done very well destroying our sports programs and still survives thanks to RGT.
And the re-seat comment was made tongue-in-cheek referring to how our bball program has driven off many fans due to little rickeys actions.
P.S. hope you and yours have a great thanksgiving.
I have to admit, I'm slightly offended by this quote. It almost seems like heΓÇÖs taking a preemptive shot at the fans that are about to make him public enemy #1:
Dykes was asked Tuesday if he wanted to address the TCU rumors with the media.
ΓÇ£No, weΓÇÖre good. IΓÇÖm good,ΓÇ¥ Dykes said. ΓÇ£Our players, IΓÇÖve talked to them and weΓÇÖre good. TheyΓÇÖre the ones that matter.ΓÇ¥

We are G5. That means any head coach we hire from P5 ranks is coming here to do penance. O'Leary at UCF for example. Former Alabama coach at UTEP. If you want a proven winner with a checkered record, then understand you will have some baggage. If you want a proven P5 loser with great credentials then there are plenty of those out there. The Virginia Tech coach would be an example. Great coach at Memphis. Bad results at VT. Fatterson proven winner, but a pain in the rear and a whiner. Orgeron, great coach won a National Championship, but allowed rapists to stay on the team. Lashee knows our players. Is an innovator. Knows Dallas. Would probably come cheaper than other candidates mentioned. But he's an up and comer and will leave at the first P5 opportunity. That's the lot of a G5 school.
