I've always thought SMU and Miami were similar in a lot of ways...small private schools in major metro areas competing against NFL & NBA teams for fans. We are very fortunate to have Ford Stadium on campus rather than having to play in the local NFL team's stadium like we did back in the Pony Express era. Miami has been drawing "crowds" that would look good in Ford but not so much in a 65,000 seat venue
