Who are your Top 3 picks for Coach?

I am not saying that applebutter is the best candidate, I merely am pointing out that he is a better candidate than Gill based upon ACCOMPLISHMENTS.
I am saying that the colorado connection is ridiculous b/c the faculty would NEVER accept that embarassment of a hire.
the IDEAL Candidate is whatever constraints need be put around it - it may be there and it may not be. But COLORADO coaches are not going to make the cut ... period (IMO).

No, but recall that in 1986 SMU received the DEATH PENALTY for football recruiting violations.
Oh, I get it now. IF you were captured by Al-Queda, you would give them bullets to their AK-47...

Gill is a d-1 HC. That is an accomplishment that Applewhite does not have, and makes him better per the criteria stated by Orsini.

Really? So PB is a candidate as well.
What if he only got his HC b/c of affirmative action? Still qualified?

No, [deleted], your boy Phil just got canned, remember? Not a candidate.
As for your wholly speculative and ignorant affirmative action comment, show me the evidence that is true and I will commenton it.

Show me where in his BIO he was ever anything more than a QB coach before becoming HC at Buffalo.
Applewhite has more experience as a coordinator than he does.
Gill:
2003-2005: pre-Buffalo HC job:
Before accepting the job at Buffalo, Gill served as the direct liaison to players and their families as the Player Development Director for Green Bay
2001-2003:
QB coach at Nebraska before being fired by Callahan
1991:
Listed as WR coach at SMU <-- wasn't he just a GA??
1990:
Undergraduate degree: BA from North Texas State University

You haven't refuted his 'experience' as being a token hire, so please show me the money on his abilities.
I see ABSOLUTELY nothing to suggest from his experience that he should have ever been considered for a HC job.

No, what I did was asked you to show me the evidence that to support your statement that he was hired as a token black before I dignified that racist position with comment, and you've backed down.

You mean I have to have recorded testimony?
Or can you simply look at the evidence as is...that is, there is nothing in his experience to warrant an interview to be HC at Buffalo.
I think I win.

You are refering to Applebutter I see.
I am not saying he is the best candidate. Just that if it were Turner Gill vs. Applebutter for the Buffalo HC job...Applebutter (today) beats Turner Gill (2005) hands down.
Not on length of tenure, but on position of authority and accomplishments.
