Is 60/82 an official number? No.
But the fact those two would throw it out there makes it an informed guess. They probably have a decent idea if their teammates were using or not.

please provide a link to all those on the TCU football team.

Thank you, Junior. Not sure how I could have been anymore clear.

Not sure where you get the laziness thing. I had seen the affidavits saying that already. When lwjr said it, I got the impression it might have been more official, which is why I asked for a link.

Lwjr, since you asked: you could have been more clear if you had said that the FWST reported that an accused drug dealer/player told his client/under cover cop that 82 players had failed the test. Basically, the title of this thread is a good example - it gives the primary source of the statement (T. Brock) which is more relevant than which media outlet is passing it along.

The way you worded could have given the impression that the FWST reported that 82 players failed, when in fact they were just reporting what the drug dealer/player said.

Not trying to pick a fight, just explaining why I was looking for clarification and responding to your follow up.

Havent read the article. Sad when anyone....especially younger people get hooked on drugs.

Plenty of examples of sucessful people losing everything including their lives.

Hopefully they get clean / help

Completely agree, SMU89. Well said. Sad story, no rejoicing here.

TCU fans are calming themselves down by reciting the rule that the first drug test failure is a warning. They don't plan on losing any more players. Don't see how they wouldn't eject those players immediately following something like this.

Its my understanding that there is no NCAA penalty for violating a random drug test. Its left to each school just as most discipline cases for the student body at large are. NCAA is an athletic Conference that shouldn't invade a private school discipline matter. This isn't the NFL but even the NFL uses the same type of confidential testing. I think it is common practice for schools to keep testing results confidential-warning then treatment then kicking them off the team.

Because they would lose over half the team if they did. They probably wouldn't have enough players to field a team.

Romo went to Eastern. Weren't you calling me out for being too lazy to look something up earlier in this thread? :)

Helps to be a private school too. I don't think emails or test results can be forcibly requested as public record.
