You're an idiot. It is coming from he and Kelsey (his wife). Haters can't help hating.DanFreibergerForHeisman wrote:Don't give Fatterson too much credit yet - all official reports are saying the donation will come from the "football program", and not necessarily from Fatterson himself.

We had a rich local business man donate a few million to a small inner city college in Little Rock. He asked that it be keep anonymous because he did not want to bask in the limelight. The school finally persuaded him to acknowledge the donation in order that others would take notice and donate also. It should not be anonymous.

[deleted] you I am not an idiot. I said "yet" because the reports at the time all said "football program". I checked WFAA, KXAS, and KTVT.froglicious wrote:You're an idiot. Now they have been updated to say the donation is from Fatterson and his wife, so good for them.

bottom line is that they are doing what is right for the kid; I think we all lose sight of how much pressure these guys are under because of how big a deal college athletics have become
Re: Decision is in re: Casey Pachall
Pachall sounds like me at his age. He'll be fine. He doesn't need rehab, he's just in college. Sad that he'll have to get 12 step brainwashed for the TCU football program to save face.

At least they got the little druggie some help before he killed someone, that's a lot more than I thought they would do.

Look - first off - good move by the TCU ADMINISTRATION. it is clearly the right thing to do.
Dont blame us for being cynical. Patterson glossed over his drug abuse originally, then even when this happens Paschall is to be on the side lines - but DRESSED OUT - ready to go if needed??
Only when there is a meeting with the President did everyone get all goo goo. So here is how it likely happened:
Gary - we need to give him a two to three game suspension. We need a couple of wins
President - are you kidding? Did you catch the news last year about our multiple drug rings? He has to go to rehab. No choice.
Gary - Oh - then in that case OK i agree
pres - and why dont you and your wife make a donation to save face - ill have (fill in the blank deep pocket trustee) front it for you.

Maybe but I admire people who give selflessly, some (probably most) do it for recognition and so people can cheer for themmrydel wrote:We had a rich local business man donate a few million to a small inner city college in Little Rock. I'm not going to name names, but someone gives every week at our tailgate.
Re: Decision is in re: Casey Pachall
There was something that 81 wrote the other day that is sticking with me. I'm paraphrasing here, "The kid has to hit bottom before any of this will do any good". I hope Paschal is in a position to take help and the help he is offered is received. I am all about helping the kid and the moral necessity of the school helping the kid. If he never plays again that is OK.
I never have anything nice to say about Fatterson. If he and his wife feel strongly about this, then I applaud them and hope that he will use his fame and influence to raise awareness to help more programs.

+1Billy Joe wrote:F Pachall and F TCU and F Patterson. You guys are way too sympathetic. Patterson and the TCU fans have been obnoxious jerks to SMU over the years. I am actually glad TCU is losing their QB and I hope they lose ever single game the rest of the year.
