Buying club seats is not in itself a bad thing, but watching a Cards-Giants game during the 2nd quarter of a close game should not be tolerated.

I got the privilege of going to the Michigan-Alabama game via suite tickets that were graciously made available to my father's company. I couldn't have imagined a worse live-game experience, but I understand that some people like to be in the masses while others like to be in the club level. To Each His Own. I apologize if some people have not made that distinction and ostracize the club level ticket holders for not ascribing to their own game-viewing philosophies.

I sit in the club level with a diverse age group, including a large group who are mostly in their 80s, and who probably wouldn't be able to attend the games if they had to sit outside in the heat in September. I'm not quite that age yet, and I spent many years sitting with a rowdy bunch outside, but I already see that my own personal medical issues mean that the comforts of the club level will become the only realistic prospect for my continuing to attend games in person in the future.

As a JJ apologist, allow me to apologize for all the suffering the JJ haters suffered Thursday. One can only shutter at the feelings of disappointment many suffered as the scoreboard flashed more and more SMU points. A few of us in the stands truly enjoyed the moment and feelings of joy with constant scoring against a very disliked opponent. But I can feel the pain of others that dreamed of an arse whuppin' put on the Ponies while heading towards a 1-11 season. I am truly sorry that JJ's team (team= offense, defense and specialty teams) did so well and ruin many's evening. I know many are desperately seeking a blow out next week with MSU killing the hated JJ team. I would like to apologize in advance cause that ain't gonna happen.

Your point is well taken, but for the coin people drop to sit behind the glass wall they should be able to watch ballet on the club level monitors if they like. You might be surprised at the number of people who buy club level seats and rarely if ever attend the games. That is a shame, but at least the school is making money off of them and that pays for scholarships. In addition to my seats I used to buy 4 season tickets in the stands. I tried to give them away to people who would never otherwise attend an SMU game. With few exceptions those seats went unused.

I had to just shake my head and ask myself why do I care about a school who hates to win or wholeheartedly support the team which includes the coaches.. No one is forcing June to stay here against his will but the bottom line is he likes money and he'll stay as long as the CoC is willing to keep paying or until he and his drunkard of an agent find someone else to swindle out of millions.
