Agree PoconoPony! :D

I agree as well. Plus, Gary Hammond -- three time all SWC. I would drop Raymond Berry, who didn't shine as a college player, despite belonging on any greatest list of NFL players.

In football, you might want to think about adding Arthur Whittington, Louie Kelcher, Bobby Leach, Lance McIlhenny. In track, Gene and Joe Pouncy (twins) who finished 1 and 2 in NCAA track in the 100 and 220 dashes. Sammy Hervey - NCAA shot put champion and Olympic super heavy-weight lifter. We had a javelin thrower back in the 70's who won in the NCAA's, name escapes me. In 1976, we finished 20th in the NCAA track meet with 2 field event guys and four sprinters.

The Pouncy Twins weren't chopped liver on the football field or in the classroom either, if there's a category for multi-talented athletes.

I remembered the javelin thrower, Glen Derwin. Wasn't there a tennis player who ended up in the #1 world ranked doubles team for awhile?

Louie Kelcher was on the original list. He's a no-brainer. Most dominating Defensive Lineman I've seen play for SMU including Harvey Armstrong, Michael Carter and Jerry Ball

I very much appreciate the vote of confidence. However, [deleted] Hightower or Jerry LaGrone are far more deserving as are so many other.
And remember, our own mrydel was 5th in the Heisman voting his senior year. That alone should get him on the list.
