sorry Mike Livingston wasn't a Top 25 at least at SMU. Neither was Raymond Berry

maybe Wes Hopkins or Gary Moten or John Simmons instead. Simmons had one of the greatest years ever as a Senior All-American

Oh and David Richards was better than all of them-but I guess he didn't graduate from SMU

Top 25 is tough, but maybe take it out to top 30-50.

If so, would you put Thomas Morstead, Cole Beasley, and Emmanuel Sanders on that list since they are having stellar pro careers? Also, and I don't think he was a player, but I still like seeing Lamar Hunt on lists like this. :-)

And, if we go there, I'd also add Ron Meyer, Larry Brown, Doc Hayes, and Hayden Fry to the list. (give Chad Morris 3-5 more years and his name might appear there, too).

I would also vote for Ramon Flanigan, Brian Berry, Lance, and Reggie Dupard. You would also need to add Hernandez for soccer. Don't we also have some other Olympians (Brian, etc)? If we keep it to top 25 I think Hernandez needs to be on it (he won the equivalent of the Heisman in soccer after all).

Jerry Ball?

I also think Harvey Armstrong was better than Michael Carter at SMU-easily

In swimming, I would add Mook Rhodenbaugh and Ryan Berube, maybe Ricardo Prado too.

Agreed on Jerry Ball too.

Michael Carter for track and field as well as his football. He was just a monster athlete.

We've had some women athletes who might get on the list too.

Christine Loock -Diver
Cindy Potter, Diver
Kyle O'Brien, golfer
Martina Moriscova, Swimmer

Some women throwers as well.

On the football board because I believe we have more there than any other sport.

Can't think of any possibilities people have missed other than Gary Hammond perhaps.

Even as much futility as we've had in the revenue sports the last 30 years, it is really hard to pick just 25 (and that's even not including the non-revenue sports, where we've had some tremendous performers). I know they probably arent near the Gene, Jim, Ira level but what about Sasser and Ross? I'm sure the number of amazing football players probably pushes them outside the all-sports Top 25.

This reminds me that I sympathize heavily with the swimmers... if America didn't produce a ridiculous amount of top level swimmers, I would have had at least 1 friend from my time in school competing in the Olympics.

Yep

Also, Putt Choate deserves some mention, as does Bobby Wilson.
