$1MM donation is probably payable over 4 to 5 years.

Wonder what Jank thinks about this whole thing.

Especially if the basketball re-seat is just an effort to cover the Football program deficits at the cost of fan support for SMU Mens Basketball.

So far, I really don't see exactly how this impacts SMU Basketball in a positive way. I guess you could make some sort of trickle down argument in relation to the overall funds being raised...

There's gonna be less butts in seats. The only question is how many fewer, and none of us know.

More overall AD funds and nothing tangible being taken away from hoops so I doubt Jank is concerned.

But agree -- a year-to-year comparison for Moody-related donations is impossible now.
The only true metric is going to be butts in seats, something we won't see until November.

Even that metric might be skewed initially, just because the people that did get new seats may be more excited to use them... the following years will be more telling. (Or possibly later in the season, if - God forbid - the team struggles.) My completely unscientific anecdotal evidence says that most of the people not renewing were the long-term (as in at least pre-Larry Brown) season ticket holders.

With eight days left to go there's 1138 Mustang members. I bet they do generate more dollars.

Check out that top donor level blows are measly donations away.

They are a money making machine. Hats off to them. There are 102 donors with access to the club. Exclusivity is what we do!

But I’m right in saying that this new list includes people who gave capital gifts to athletic purposes. Those weren’t on the MC list last year correct?

1,138 members, how many does seats does Moody have, say 7,000.

Seems like a sellout to me.
