It has been mentioned in other threads.

What is there to say? They are pricing out a lot of true fans, but that's what they want - and probably need.

Saw the email yesterday. ItΓÇÖs pretty ridiculous and a blatant cash grab. I have a feeling there is a reverse correlation between donation level and attendance. Also filling moody with older donors is going to kill the atmosphere. That said the proposed amounts arenΓÇÖt a huge increase for my particular seats. Just hope a rich donor who doesnΓÇÖt show up and takes them From me because he dontate a lot more money.

My initial reaction to the e-mail was not good, but it's still a way off so I figure I'll wait to see how things shake out.

I don't really care about the donation increases, but I'm not happy at all that they expect me to hand over thousands of dollars w/o knowing where my seats will be... if the system stays as is, I'll probably drop my season tickets and just buy off the secondary market going forward.

But as I said, it's too early in the process for me to know for sure.

SMU is going to SMU....kill the only good thing we have going.

Get ready for a lot of empty seats each and every game.

We all knew it was coming and we all know what's about to happen -- the best seats and even the decent seats are all about very empty next season. But SMU will get its money so it will be "OK".

I will most likely cancel my tickets and pay less on the secondary market and I'm not the only one going to do that. Lots of pissed off people already.

I think it works out. Generate top dollar with season ticket holders then the rest of us come when we feel like it for a lot less money on the secondary Market.

I think all in all I may have dropped 50k in the last 10 years with travel, tickets, donations. I don't feel slighted or without value. I was never going to compete with the 800 people in front of me I was just trying to have fun.

Yes the stadium will be a little less full.
And they must sustain a winning team or they won't be able to give those seats away. Everybody wants in on the win

I think they hope that everybody lays down and just makes donations blindfolded after the fact you'll get your seat assignment. If they continue to lose they may have to adjust that line of thinking similar to when everyone threatened to cancel their football tickets with additional donations.

I have been in same seats for 13 years. Will not consider submitting donation unless I know where my seats will be, hopefully in the area. If not i am gone, just like i did with my season football tickets.

I understand SMU's need to raise cash but their philosophy of, pay us now and we will tell you where you will be sitting later way of business is horse**** .If that is not whoring yourself out for the Almighty dollar while snubbing your nose at some of your more loyal fans, I don't know what is.

I will have to see how things fall before I make a decision. It costs me (and others from Arkansas) a lot of money to come down to Dallas for a ball game, over and above my Mustang Club contributions and season tickets.I CAN be priced out of both contributions.

I left a few years ago and save a ton of money.
I go to the good games like USC and others but just buy the game.

I'll submit the donation and buy the seats they let me buy (because there are no bad seats in Moody), but If I don't get the seats I want (ie my current seats) this will be my last year donating and having season tickets, I'll just buy on the secondary market.
