But, if people (mainly students) don't care enough about the game to worry about not coming back in, they're not going to stick around long enough to buy concessions. Students are not paying for a ticket into the game (except as part of their tuition), so they really have little vested interest in coming back if they're not allowed to come back in.
Also, re-entry is just one of the problems. There are still issues with sitting where your ticket says to sit and so on. When we have enough people at a game to worry about people sitting in other people's seats, then we can worry about it. Otherwise, if there are empty seats, let people sit there.

Open the tent up in the ned zone with beer and wine.
Stick a few bails of hay to sit on and start making some money.
Does Ned sell the beer in the ned zone?

(Just a joke BUS)

yes i remember that last couple of years they had a tent in the endzone that was air conditioned and served beer and wine... UP/HP laws will not allow spirits to be served..

Peruna2001: I do give you props for staying the entire game.. but my my saturday revolves around...
1. watching the game in the stands
2. tailgating and having as much fun as possible
3. eating and drinking...
I leave at halftime b/c I want another beer and if I am still hungry I eat some food that is left over at my tent that I spent hours cooking during the day..
since our last two games were blowouts I was not too interested in the 2nd half.. I did stay till the 4th qutr the these past two games.. I love SMU football to death, I love college football to death, but I do not love blowouts... I have a satelite and tv set up at my tailgate, if its a blowout you can probably find me watching Notre Dame coming back to beat MSU in the last five minutes.. as this happened last sat..

Not true. The "Stables" never had beer and wine because it was never approved for any alcohol, period.

Especially if the bale of hay is soaked in alcohol.

I've got this one figured out.
If you want to leave, go through The Spirt Shop. There's an entrance to it from the interior concourse of Ford Stadium. Go through there and use the door that exits outside of Ford.
When you want to come back inside Ford for the second half, just reverse the above.

Sounds like the Fire Marshal should check into that during the next game.

Too bad we can't reconfigure the stadium
where the BLVD includes the south end zone of Ford Stadium
Instead of everyone leaving the stadium at half time they
could just stagger down to the south endzone and get gassed
down there without leaving the stadium!

To stay on track....
SMU has not had a fan base since 1986. The product on the field is not up to standards. The game day experience is what SMU is selling, right.
We need more services and more benefits.
SMU should have end zone bar.
SMU should encourage everyone to have a sign. Cover the place with signs. It is supposed to be a fun place. ( Did you see the Super Dome ) Those would all be down if Dave Miller ran the place.
SMU should let people go in and out as they choose. SMU needs to make friends and customers into REPEAT customers.
All right, I have called and left a message too.
Go Mustangs.
I think Mapps will have a good game on the turf. Jitterbug.
