"And the truth comes out in this post. You are just a sad little loser who was trying to spread lies that he knew was false. Sorry SMU got beat this year but that doesn't make it ok to make stuff up about anyone on a message board for smack talk. SMU deserves and can do a whole lot better than you. Please stop embarrassing them."
Actually, they are true...sorry to rain on you parade. Whether Patterson will implode or not, is pure speculation. I think maybe you need to start talking to your fellow TCU alumns, as the word is getting out as to what really transpired. Gary didn't get what he proposed. TCU's Chancellor and local press wouldn't support him on this one.
Oh, and if Patterson does implode, look for the Razorbacks to make an approach.

If that's true.....the honeymoon may be over in Cowtown!

If we want to get where TCU is we need to look a lot more like TCU in this department.

How old are you? Seriously, if you are not being sarcastic, then I think you need to reevaluate your priorities.

Does Stanford with an under-grad enrollment of about 6,887 students have big drug use/trafficking scandals?

Dont blame us for being cynical. Patterson glossed over his drug abuse originally, then even when this happens Paschall is to be on the side lines - but DRESSED OUT - ready to go if needed??
Only when there is a meeting with the President did everyone get all goo goo. So here is how it likely happened:
Gary - we need to give him a two to three game suspension. We need a couple of wins
President - are you kidding? Did you catch the news last year about our multiple drug rings? He has to go to rehab. No choice.
Gary - Oh - then in that case OK i agree
pres - and why dont you and your wife make a donation to save face - ill have (fill in the blank deep pocket trustee) front it for you.
Patterson makes about 2.5 mil a year. He doesn't need anyone "fronting it" for him.

As my Ft. Worth friends said today, Patterson lost the support of the Chancellor and the Ft. Worth press on this issue when he clearly tried to make this a three game suspension and actually suited Pachall up for Iowa St--just in case.
Somehow Patterson had a change of heart over Sunday when he was assured his three game suspension proposal wouldn't be acceptable.
More Patterson BS, it has been revealed that Patterson had an escort assigned to him for the past two years, because Patterson knew the kid was over his head in terms of drugs and alcohol. His dad said as much when he bailed him out of jail. Patterson had January's police report where he admitted to to the Ft. Worth Police he used hard drugs. Patterson also knew he flunked his own random drug test. And of course, he had his high school track record of bar fights and drunkeness.
Anyone that believes that Patterson came up with rehab solution is a fool and a Horned Frog--one and the same! He is continuing classes at TCU and plans to particpate in spring football. Funny, I thought rehab programs required a full time commitment.
Patterson is clearly putting himself and his program over any real effort to turn this kid around. This is going to end badly.

Clueless idiot is clueless. Living a jaded life full of hate is a sad thing. Roll on.
The media gets it. GP was the one that asked advise from the Chancellor. The Chancellor is on record saying this was GP's call all the way. I guess you will say that was a lie as well. LOL. Can't wait to cancel this series due to azzclowns like you.

Yes, of course it does. Do you seriously think that 6,887 college students between 18 and 22 stay away from alcohol/drugs? In California? They have invested several million dollars in a student drug program to try to control this, a program much like the one Patterson just gave $100,000 to. Some schools may have more incidents or drug use and rapes than others, but they all have them.

I'm so sorry. To suggest successful programs need to be easy on athletes is just silly.

I find it amusing that everyone on here, including the frogs, claim to have inside knowledge as to what "really" transpired.
I can guarantee that no none of you were in the room, and anything of this inside knowledge anyone claims to have is pure speculation, no matter how "good" your source is.

The only thing that gets me is why he dressed out for the ISU game? If Patterson wanted a 3 game suspension why not start it then? If the Chancellor wanted rehab then why wait almost an entire week? Same with Patterson. If he thinks the kid needs rehab why couldn't they figure that out prior to ISU?
I still say good move to get him help. But the having him dress out part is a little fishy and may point to another direction the school or coach was originally trying to go.

From a frog: Patterson dressed Pachall for the ISU game in order to strengthen his punishment; like making your kid hold a "I stole from this store" sign after shoplifting. I guess the idea was that if the team struggled, everyone could look at Pachall and know whose fault it was.
Did GP think they were going to struggle against ISU? I doubt it. But that's their dogma.
