The irony is that when he is on a TV interview or radio interview he rarely makes a pitch to the audience encouraging them to come out to watch a game. I guess it is the same theory in recruiting fans as it is in recruiting players...they will come unasked just because it is June Jones standing on the sideline.

so true; it's just not in his personality to be a cheerleader but I've seen plenty of coaches with fire in their bellies "work the crowd" and tell them in the aftermath how important they are to the team. Dabo Swinney is one of those guys at Clemson...of course they enjoy about 5 times the fan support that we do because of the very different culture at the two schools, but I think you are right in drawing the comparison to recruiting

I really think someone just "guestimated" based on looking at the visitor's side (where I think there were only about 3,000 people at most) and then doubling their estimate.

Look forward to Orlando...of course, it's only a 6 hr drive for me from Charleston so a night game makes it easy. My guess is we might have about 100 there?

How many of those wins were against "good" teams - teams with a winning record? From what I can tell, if JJ's record is 4-20 or 4-21, etc in games against teams with a winning record, not very many.
