Maybe ESPN will move it again. "Frisco Bowl" is not somewhere any team, at the beginning of the season, has dreams about playing in. In 5 years it will be the answer to a trivia question no one will get right.

I do not expect ESPN will move it any time soon. It is in a great location and the right size stadium for this level of bowl. This year ESPN were well aware that sending Ohio and SDSU was going to mean no-one showed up, but the schools had a good time and it gives ESPN a centrally located easy to get to bowl game in an area with lots of possible teams.
Official attendance in Frisco was 11,029. A Wikipedia item for the game said it was 3,000.
The ESPN cameras took care only to show the field from a very low angle--no open seats as far as they were concerned, although by the end of the game they panned up to midfield and it was completely empty.
