Re: Wichita St seems likely to join AAC
Glad you brought this up. With the league still struggling to keep up with the P5 conferences, I'm sure they will continue to schedule the top teams home and home. I believe Temple is the only name school we haven't played twice each season. And that probably cost us a share of the conference championship in 2015-16 because Temple didn't visit Moody.

yep...I wouldn't make any assumptions about scheduling just yet. It's no secret why WSU is joining and my only assumption is that scheduling was an important part of the negotiations.

The AAC would be insane to not have the top teams play each other twice a year. Not doing this defeats the entire purpose of bringing WSU into the conference.

Interesting fact about WSU is that they were 1-4 against top 50 teams this year, 0-3 against top 25. For contrast, we were 3-2 and 2-2.

They were 2-3 according to ESPN's RPI. Also, they beat Tulsa by 27 at home if you're curious how they did against an AAC team.

Hopse so. It would be stupid for the AAC to do divisions. I really hope they make a concerted effort to make sure SMU, Cincy, UConn, and WSU play twice every year.

Wichita State is legit and they have all their starters returning.

Way to early to be relegating us to 3rd if Semi returns. He is the reigning AAC Player of the Year. We also would return our PG who is averaged over 13-4.5 in his first year at the point. And Foster who averaged 9.9PPG and has a super high ceiling. That core 3 would be better than any core 3 in the conference.
For us there are just lots of question marks outside of that. Like how good will Jimmy Whitt be, how well will McMurray fit in, will we find a serviceable grad-transfer, will one or multiple of the frosh be ready or exceed expectations. If two of those go well we will be STACKED. Regardless, If Semi is back, it would be foolish in my mind to think we can't win the AAC again.

Pretty certain those relegating us to competitor status vice conference champion-select for next season if Semi returns are allowing the potential for losses in the OOC portion of the schedule without our transfers to cloud their judgment on the potential conference record. We are going to be a formidable beast in conference next year. Semi will be back, and we will have 2 great transfers who will work with our returning core and our high-ceiling freshman to continue the maturation of this program and the growth of this team.

Still think Sterling and Ben will be missed more than some may expect.

Re: Wichita St seems likely to join AAC
Come on, you did that w Nic, Turd Kennedy and JT too. We're stacked next year, return 4 of our core 6 and add mad talent everywhere. hickey little much. Also, anyone relegating us to 3rd next season w semi back, needs electro shock therapy. We aren't going anywhere and the conference title runs through us, as it has last 4 years , much of the time

...and if it doesn't it is the AAC's fault.
