You should have signed up the loud, enthusiastic, gung-ho Ole Miss cheering section from last night's basketball game. Their loud cheering and vocal support of the team from MISSISSIPPI was pretty dang impressive. We had NOTHING. The usual NOTHING. There's nothing there. Bodies in seats. Don't stand. Don't cheer. Don't sing. It's just NOTHING. I am sure Rebel fans were thinking "WTF?".

Yeah, it was pretty pathetic.

I was at that game too. Very neat to see SEC fans in action. They were quiet until our team made them look like NBA players in the third quarter. You want to feel really alone as a fan? Sit at a BB game, flash the pony sign and sing the fight songs with the cheerleaders. Lost generation indeed. In fairness this is only the 2nd BB game I've intended since the days of Q Ross, B Hop and Castro. I'm part of the problem too.

It's next to impossible to sell a product without a name so I decided to go ahead and make one. It's simple, unambiguous and non-controversial. I'm not saying this is the final name, but it's something to put out there and see if I can get more people on board. Ticket renewals are coming up soon and I need to see if this thing even has wings so that I can secure a section ASAP. I've gotten a few people interested here but not nearly enough to make my argument with the Ticket Office any easier. To facebook with this I go.

Black is the new Red.
And 40 is the new 30.
