You obviously missed it, but localcoach basically admitted that he was just stringing us along..it was a joke...he is not a coach, he is just another froggie posting on our board.

While I enjoy TTs defeat at the hands of UNM it just adds to the TCU result to say that SMU has a long way to go. It turns out that Tech was not very good after all and so our showing against them was not so much of an affirmation of our teams progress as we first thought.

New Mexico has a pretty good team and TTech is obviously not as strong as they were last year. I still pull for everyone who beats us to do well. Somehow it makes me feel better if I can say we lost to 7 bowl teams.
Meanwhile, how 'bout the mean green? Don't look now, but the Sun Belt is going to be a much improved young conference with Troy and Fla Atlantic joining the fold.
There was talk of SMU/UNT resuming their series. I still hope that happens. I'd love to see a year with a non-conference slate of TCU, UNT & Baylor.

I trust that was sarcasm since they lost to Fla. Atl.

yes, that was for the benefit of those mean greenies who monitor this board and have been thumping their chests bragging about those 3 consecutive New Orleans Bowl appearances. FAU beat Hawaii to open their season and Troy has beaten Marshall and Missou. We all know what UT did to UNT. Looks like back to reality time for the folks in Denton.
