First for a week

Post by Sam I Am »

Talk about a good win at an opportune time. Being tied for first sure sounds good despite the reality of our season recrod and coming opponent. Let's enjoy it while it lasts. Regardless of the outcome on Saturday, I promise to lay off the coach for another week.

The last time we went 1-0 in conference was '98, with a win over Hawaii. But that game technically "doesn't count," thanks to our buddy Mr. Malin. Before that, you have to go back to SWC days, in '93, when we beat the Frogs 21-15, for our last legitimate conference-opener win.
