What are we looking at attendance-wise Monday night at Moody?

If it was Friday or Saturday night it would definitely be a sell-out. Ok St travels well. 5000 Monday night?

So far very little apparent promotion for the game. I am betting very few other than hardcore SMU fans and OSU fans even know the game is being played.

It is pretty much consistent with the opener. On that date a front page story was run on Gilispie's new era at A&M, while Dallas' own Jimmy Tubbs began his era on the same day and received a very small paragraph very deep into the sports section. The article on Rhonda R. starting a new season was even larger. Unbelievable.

If anyone has Moody lower level good tickets and is not going to attend the Monday Night SMU Hoops Game against OK State, please let some SMU Fans use those seats.

If you can not attend please call Craig Welch at (214) 923-3530.

Can pickup your tickets from your location and pay you cash so that you can be sure an SMU Fan is in your lower level seats to cheer on the Ponies.

(I know tickets are still available from the ticket office, just trying to get the lower level seats filled with SMU Fans!)

Those blue seats are always empty - it would be nice to be able to fill them w/ cheap hardcore fans like myself :)

My guess is that there will be 1,200 SMU fans and at least 5,000 OSU so we will be guests at home like when we play Kansas or Arkansas. That is the kind of thing that really hurts recruiting. (I just hope we don't get run off of the court. After our first 2, it appears that we will get killed unless someone really lights it up from 3 pt range.

Ya know, we need more fans like you OP.....geez. Believe me I’m not unrealistic or a sunshiner but to say that we will get killed because of our first two games is shortsighted. Okie St. is good, damn good, but I think we can be very good too. We are 2-0 (with a new coach and key new players), we have upperclassman leadership, and we DO have talent. Last year we hung with an equally talented Wake team at Moody with basically the same players we have now. I predict we’ll be competitive and if the chips fall right, we could pull the upset.

Agreed. It's gotten ridiculous when we confuse pessimism with realism.

You know that I thought this season would be a really good one. Experienced players etc After the first 2 games though I can find nothing encouraging other than we are 2-0.
Montana St is not a competitive team nor is UT Tyler but they were competitive with us. You all know that we would be criticizing the hell out of this team if Dement were the coach. I hope the new system that Tubbs has put in works. There may have been a reason that Dement ran a more contolled offense and the zone.

All I know is that I am spending more for tickets to this game for me and my son than we did for the 4 football games we attended so we are ready for some bball tonight.

I am not going to make judgement just yet. Albeit I am not happy with 2 just barely wins over crappy teams. Dement sucked and needed to be gone..period. His "controlled offense" existed of one person dribbling out the clock and then throwing up a prayer at the last minute. His defense was giving up career highs and 3 pointers all season long with no adjustments. After tonight and the Baylor, TCU games, we can see what there is to critique...
