Didn't Dement take two other teams to the NCAA tourney? I believe he was a "proven" coach when we hired him.

Unfortunately with the lack of a true committment to athltetics by the administration of the school, it would probably be impossible to attract a solid head coach from another program. With each passing year, it looks less likely that SMU will every enjoy a winning basketball or football program.
