SMU v. Baylor on 12/16

Post by Diamond Girl »

If the guys played as poorly as y'all report (I wasn't able to attend the game against TCU), do you think there's any hope against the bears?

Baylor only has 7 scholarship players, and only Tommy Swanson has any prior Big XII experience. The other 6 are in their first year in the Baylor program, one of which (Tim Bush) will be playing his first game since sitting out a year after transferring from LSU and another (Mamadou Diene) who will just be getting off the plane from Africa and will not play.

If SMU doesn't win this game handily, something is badly wrong on the Hilltop.

We should beat the Bears. They have losses to LA Monroe and A&M CC.

I don't think there are any layups on the schedule, but you're right - Baylor's definitely beatable.

We could lose any game this season. Don't look down on any opponent. TAMU CC also beat TCU and Florida State.

Regretting I already purchased tickets for this one. At least I know to bring some No-Doz. The Moody experience is a complete bore.

Bergermeister, I know what will / can keep you wide AWAKE...there is this certain female fan who yells incessently(SP?) throughout the game, for no apparent reason, other than to just make irratating noise, very strange...sit by her, she is easy to spot, this will keep you awake and will be mildly entertaining...my kids call her "that lady"..pretty funny stuff. Long Live Willie Davis.

It would be nice to finally beat a Div 1 team.

Yeah, you're right PS. Had Montana St. not totally blown it, we would be 0-3 vs. Div I teams. Man, this sucks....

What about Texas State? They're Division I.

Baylor so far have only played 4 games and are 2-2. I don't see a line on the game yet. Very easy schedule except TAMCC.

Did Shipman start when he and Hopkins were at Lincoln? Are they friends?

I would imagine SMU might be able to win this one with a close call?...prediction SMU 65-62.
