Top 10: SMU Christmas wishes

Post by Letterman »

OK, so it already is Christmas (sorry it's late -- it's a holiday!) That notwithstanding, there are a few things on my wish list to Santa Claus .... on behalf of a few Mustangs. So, without further ado:

From the home office, High on the Hilltop, the Top 10 Mustang Christmas wishes:

10. Ugo Ihemelu
To sign with a professional team with a big enough fan base to fully appreciate this absurdly talented player

9. Todd Selders
More Ackerson sisters

8. Bryan Hopkins
A Vaseline-covered jersey so the nay-sayers can get off his back

7. Reggie Carrington
A note from his doctor, excusing him from all bench-pressing and push-ups

6. Jimmy Tubbs
A recruit who's as tall as Bamba Fall, has the shot-blocking ability of Patrick Simpson, the strength of Paulius Ritter, the outside shot of (a healthy) Brian Miller, the quickness of Bryan Hopkins, the hustle of Chris Reay, the explosiveness of Justin Isham and the post moves of Eric Castro

5. Reggie Carrington, Adrian Chevannes, Juli Colli, Lucky DeLay, Duke Hashimoto, Darrin Johnson, Desmond Jones, Brian Miller, Foy Munlin, Chris Phillips, Donatas Rackauskas, Justin Rogers (and others)
A complete return to health

4. Eric Roark
So many stud recruits that they come in and challenge for starting jobs all over the field

3. John Cossaboon
Another sister act for the women's soccer team -- first it was Heidi and Ashley Potthoff, then Sarah and Kim Harvey, now Krystal and Kimber Bailey

2. Rhonda Rompola
A do-over with TCU, in which the Ponies would administer an appropriate Frog-beating, leaving the Ponies undefeated heading into conference play

And the #1 Mustang Christmas wish:

1. All SMU athletes
Punching bags in the weight room painted to look like Mike Leach

Some humor, some sentiment. Very nice wish list, Letterman.
Merry Christmas!

Knew you wouln't let us down. Nice blend of comedy and real wishes (i.e. the return to health for injured Ponies).

#1 is great!

I'd love to see #2 on a neutral court. Women's hoops is kicking butt!

I'd love to see Ugo play on a big European team or something, but I'd rather see him play for the Burn (er .... F.C. Dallas) so PonyFans can see him play.

I imagine that's already happening, since he just got named WAC player of the week for the second straight week. Congrats.

Good list, Letterman, and good additions, WaterPony.
