Let that one slip away. Got lucky with Rice missing free throws on 2 occassions.

well, at least it wasn't by 40 pts!

Hey, Rice is rightfully one of the conference favorites, and to lose in OT on their court by 2 is nothing to hang heads about. That effort would beat most WAC teams, so hopefully we'll keep it up.

I was at the game last night and here are some of the things that I noticed:

The team put a good effort out there. They played good team defense and were hustling to the ball diving for loose balls and doing a lot of the little things that we were not doing last year.

Positives:
B-Hop had a great first half
Roberts is a player
Simposon played strong on the offensive end
Isham desire to have the ball/take the shot when the game was on the line in regular period and overtime (Good look from 3 in OT just missed)

Negatives:
B-hop disappering act in the second half
Rebounding was horrible (Especially in the second half)
Zero points off of the bench
Reay looked pretty bad last night (Looked like the second coming of Alan Krist)

A 38 point swing is pretty impressive, no matter how you get there. That crush of Baylor looks a little better too in light of the fact that the Bears got by Purdue at Purdue. It takes a while to get the pieces placed in the puzzle and Tubbs is doing a good job so far. Are we where we want to be? No, but we are certainly seeing some positive signs of improvement. These guys are playing with emotion, passion and starting to get some pride. We can make some noise in this conference.
