All good things...

Post by PerunaPunch »

I know this probably isn't the most appropriate venue for this, but since this is where I hang out in cyberspace...

After 8 long months of working to put together a merger between our company and our chief competitor, I find myself shortly to be joining the ranks of the unemployed. And although I'd enjoy nothing better than hanging around Ford Stadium all spring, the missus (not to mention the guys who hold our mortgage) are dead set on putting me back to work.

Sooo, if any of you Ponyfans have connections and would be willing to network my name around, I'd be eternally grateful (although I may not know much about football, I am in fact quite expert at marketing).

Thanks in advance for giving this some consideration.

Sorry to hear the news Peruna Punch. I know they don't pay much, but everyone keeps talking about how the SMU Athletic Department marketing group needs help....just a thought. Hang tough....something good will happen for you.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Last time I checked, SMU marketing does not have the budget to take on another person...would be great i'm sure, but not enough money.

I will make a few calls...the job market in that field is very tight right now for all the wrong reasons. Although I don't work in that field that was my major in college as well. Good luck with everything and I promise to see what I can see. Quick question...not to be improper, but what is your age? Right or wrong, it does matter to many people.

You have to realize the state of constant fear in which Peruna Punch lives. The lovely Mrs. Punch makes all rules by which they live, and makes all decisions. And seeing as how our man Peruna Punch married up -- WAY up -- we need to get him a lucrative gig so he can keep the lovely Mrs. Punch living the lifestyle to which she's grown accustomed.

Any PonyFan who comes through in this area should have the next stadium/arena/natatorium named after them.

So true Whatasteve. However, I'm the sort of marketing genius who just might be able to get that stadium named after my illustrious benefactor!
