I'm surprised that more than 10,000 SMU fans will show up. Or maybe Baylor fans will make up the entire crowd...
Give it a rest... 18,000 people came to watch SMU play San Jose State after an 0-3 start. SMU will have at least that since its the 1st game, and if Baylor brings their "12,000" they're estimating. It'll be around 30,000 in attendance.
Wish I could make it back down, but had to help a friend carry stuff from Tulane MS and get it back to B-ham. Katrina is devastating y'all (not that you didn't know) -- it's really awful to see how desperate and hopeless all of the victims look. Keep these people in your prayers...
Go SMU. Beat Baylor!

That's a great thing you're doing for your friend, and as much as we'll miss you at the game, you have your priorities in the right order.SouthernMustang wrote: .... Go SMU. Beat Baylor!
I'll make extra noise on your behalf - BEAT THE HELL OUT OF BAYLOR.
Best wishes to your friend.

How would the ticket office know how many Baylor fans have bought tickets? They obviously know how many tickets the Baylor ticket office has sold to the game, but as stated earlier, BU has a strong DFW presence and most probably purchased through the SMU ticket office. When I went, I wasn't asked whether I was a Baylor or SMU fan and didn't identify myself as a BU fan. I was steered to tickets on the student side because those were the best seats available, because obviously the best seats on the home side go to season ticket holders. I bought 18 tickets, 17 which are going to BU fans.
As an SMU MBA, I received a voucher from SMU for 2 free endzone tickets which I cashed in and gave to 2 Baylor fans.
So, unless every Baylor fan identified themselves to the SMU ticket office as a Baylor fan, I don't see how they could have an accurate count of how many tickets Baylor fans have bought.
We'll have to wait until Saturday to figure that out.

If you call or walk up or buy online, you can ask for visitor seating and you will sit in a visitor section or as close as they can get you if the visitor section is full. Is it really that hard? Or you can go to the online ticket store and try and buy tickets, click on the button that says "visitor". None of this is complicated.
