TCU
Isn’t it kind of cool to see our ugly twin brother to the west get the respect and admiration we so desperately desire? I dislike the froggies as much as any Pony fan, but you have to hand it to them. They muddled around in mediocrity for several years after the breakup of the SWC, but then decided to make a commitment, a true commitment to winning. Result - 5 bowls in 6 years and now probably the biggest non-BCS school victory against a power since the creation of the BCS. They not only have the attention of the DFW Metroplex, but all of college football. They are quickly on the road to becoming the next Louisville.....a non-BCS school knocking on the BCS door. And to think, seven years ago SMU and TCU were at the same place. Now, TCU is very close to arriving and SMU has become unquestionably the worst D-I program in the country. Congrats to TCU.

Well, that's up to you World Stang whether you wear purple or red. But I wish SMU the best. I hope for a great turn-out.
I hope all DFW/Metroplex football fans come to our came on the 15th of September against Utah. We need all the support we can get. And if you hate TCU please come as well. We need as many people as possible for Thursday night's game on ESPN.

TCU ranked #22 in the new AP poll.

We barely stayed out of the bottom 10 this week (on the waiting list)....a poll we have become very accustom to over the past few years.

Isn't "TCU MBA" an oxymoron?
Tell that to Gordan England, former Executive VP of General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin, former Secretary of the Navy, former Deputy Director of Homeland Security, and current Deputy Secretary of Defense. He's a TCU MBA.

It's funny.. I can't really get worked-up for this game. Probably will once it's here.. but I'm still amazed at how pathetic SMU looked against a Baylor team that was not that good. I've already given up our chances against TCU and looking ahead to C-USA opponents.
Here's to a good game TCU. It could get quite ugly.. but regardless of the outcome.. you guys have already impressed the hell out of me. I'm considering coming to Amon Carter for a few more games this year.

What we obtain too cheap.. we esteem too lightly. It is persistence alone that gives everything its value.

Er... of course, Gordon's commander-in-chief is a Harvard alum who's married to an SMU alum.
Okay, I know that's pretty weak. It's the best I could do on the spur of the moment, so cut me some slack.
CinC went to Yale, not Harvard and, yes, Laura Welch Bush went to SMU, Class of 1968. Great Class, distinguished alumni from this group, including yours truly.
