Re: Cory Rodgers
LaTerrance Dunbar a couple years ago probably. Corey is still developing as a receiver and, like you, I think is probably ahead of Harrell.
Dunbar was good -- god knows he had some big games against us. Fast as hell, but small. That other guy who went to the Broncos for a couple hours (Matise or something?) was pretty solid, too. But I agree with Peruna's assesment of Rodgers. He's a stud. Good size, good speed, catches everything.... he ReedFrawg, please tell him he needs the extra rest for the Utah game, and he really should take Saturday off.

Everybody knew about every one of those running backs despite what the Litl' Froggies say. Tomlinson was a preseason Top 20 player in the state according to one recruiting site.(his stock did drop later in the year) nobody thought he'd be eligible. Hobbs was not a BCS recruit-played on a terrible team but most non-BCS schools would have jumped at him. And Merrill had perhaps the best senior season in Texas and was either a 4 star or 5 star by the end of the recruiting season- a Texas Top 20. Now yes some BCS schools probably missed out by not going strong after them in preseason recruiting but these guys were well known quality recruits from Day 1. They weren't sleepers unless you are UT or OU-those schools got some pretty good running backs themselves.
