My prediction for Saturday

My thoughts at the beginning of the season for SMU's first two games: SMU would lose one very close game and get blown out in the other game. So the Ponies already lost their close game...

I predict that if we get pasted by TCU or even if we lose by 1 point, people will be on this board calling for Bennett's and Copeland's scalps. If we win, people will still want those scalps because we didn't execute some play in the third quarter just right.

It seems that the desire to have both gone has already happened East. I'm still not sure about Bennett, but I thought we should let Copeland go or fire him, starting some time ago. I'm am so unimpressed with what he has "done."

Give me a Mike Garrett type any time.

I was calling for their scalps after the winless season they gave us. I do not tolerate losing or losers for that matter. I guess you guys are satisfied with being sub standard. I, along with many others, do not accept it. That is why I am a success. If SMU would listen to my ideas, the whole athletic department would be in better shape. Instead, they are lead by a complete idiot that has done nothing with the athletic department during his tenure. At least there are a handful of us that still go to the games. Many of the students and alumni have abandoned this ship wreck a long time ago. TCU will whip us. A&M will whip us. Tulane will whip us, etc., etc. Why? There is a loser mentality with SMU football. Bennett has not been able to get rid of it. It is time for a change. Bring in a proven winner at the Division 1-A level! Go Billy Joe and go Mustangs!

Three points:

1) Appearently you do tolerate losing and losers as you are still following the Mustangs.

2) Please elaborate on your ideas, and specifically how you communicated tehm to the athletic department and/or SMU.

Ummm...I agree that this board is negative, but I'd have to disagree with your winning scenario.

If we win plans for building a lifesize statue of Bennett and Copeland will go into effect. The groundbreaking ceremony will happen next week.

Honestly, we really don't have to worry about that. Having said that, I'd personally go into more loan debt if we could win this game.

I appreciate what you "want" but with 6 wins in 4 years, ain't nobody associated with this trainwreck "bulletproof."
