You guys don't really think you can win this weekend do you?
I'm here at my desk trying to think what can excite me about this weekend's matchup against the ponies.......and to be honest, I'm having a hard time trying to find anything good.
I've heard all the 95-21 revenge smack and the 7-11 comments, but c'mon. That can only go so far.
You guys need to give me something to root for on saturday so that I can enjoy the WOODSHED BEATING we are going to give SMU even more.
But then again, as I stated in the title of this thread. Since you guys don't really have much to play for at this point, and you are clearly playing a better team, you don't really think you have a chance to win Saturday do you?
Go Coogs!!!

Because it is mostly underground and was built in a swamp.
Oh, was that a rhetorical question?
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I dunno, do most of your graduates really think they can get a job outside of the sanitation or food service industries?
Please let me know which parking lot John O'Quinn parks at so I know what part of the stadium to avoid after the game. **glug glug**
Do UofH officials try to get him liquored up at games in hopes that he gets another DWI so he will have to give even more $$$ to UofH to avoid getting disbarred?

Oh brother
Oh boy....I should have known that I would see the "Your law school smells" and "Your graduates work for the sanitation dept" comments.
I really didn't want to play "Sticks and Stones may hurt my bones..." on this thread. It would be great if we could talk football here on this thread.
What do you guys think about this game this weekend?
What are your motivating factors?
What should get us cougars fired up to play the ponies?

I for one refuse to take Houston lightly. With apologies to Lou Holtz, I think at this point they're the most dangerous [plug in UH's record here] team in the country who also happens to be a commuter school with certain identity problems who plays in a crappy stadium after getting tired of seeing a 1/10 full Astrodome.
How's that for a runon sentence?

2 weeks to get ready and hopefully a rather inventive running attack. If we can run the ball, and since everybody appears capable of doing that so far this season, then this might be a pretty close game.
I will also be attending in person so I feel that this game is not really a waste of my time. Of course, I will be flying out soon after the game so I don't have to hang around the east armpit of Texas too long.

Class of '91
If we play the way we can and should, especially with an off week to prepare, UH should have its hands full. I hope your team has the attitude you have, because they will get stung that way. UH is pretty good, but you guys aren't quite that good. To hear you smack about it, you would think UH must be in the top 25 or something. Are you? Beaten any top 25s this year? We have.

Hoping we can establish our running game early while limiting UH's passing attack. Positive turnover margin makes SmooPower happy.
What are your motivating factors?
Finish the season strong. Build some momentum for next year. Stop everyone from whining for at least one week. Gives us a shot at finishing in the top half of CUSA West.
What should get us cougars fired up to play the ponies?
It's not our job to fire your team up!

There we go
What kind of numbers can we expect to travel to Houston this weekend?
I would love for a rivalry to build between us at some point. Hopefully that can happen now that we're in the same conference.
Good luck Saturday (Not really

...."don't have much to play for at this point"-boy is he uninformed!!!! We are playing for the 2005 Texas State 1A II Championship. You may never know what hit you as Mustang Mania is once again SWEEPING the state. Do you have mechanical goal-posts because otherwise they are coming down. Win this one and SMU plays UTEP for ALL the marbles. SMU hasn't beaten TCU and Rice in the same year in 19 years and now we are going all the way BABY.
