TCU #1 Business School in Texas (WSJ)
From Killer Frogs...
Just saw the 2005 rankings by Wall Street Journal and TCU is #1 in Texas. Most of us probably already know TCU is #1 academics in Texas but thought I would post WSJ article.

Had Mr. Froggie dude been an SMU graduate he would have been able to discern that this is a ranking of college RECRUITERS favorite schools - not a ranking of quality. Big Difference.
No third party source would rank their pathetic business school anywhere near the top of the state relative to quality.

You do know that this ranking is by a panel of corporate recruiters right? It has nothing to do with academics, etc. What is the average starting salary for a TCU MBA? $63,000 (straight from their website, with 3-5 years of experience) and $85,000 if more than 5 years experience. The AVERAGE salary for a COX MBA is $78,000 with a $15,000 signing bonus. That's $93,000 right out of the gate. All data straight from the school's websites.
Look at the Cox School of Business PMBA and EMBA programs. PMBA is #10 by Forbes and #12 by USNews (this is the biggest program by far at SMU - approx. 600 students), EMBA is ranked #15 in the country by USNews.
Neeley is a fine school and TCU is definitely putting more emphasis on their business school and recruiting Professional MBA's (the cash cow of both schools). It's ludicrous to declare TCU as the top business school in the state on one skewed ranking.

All this statements proves is that your student body is of lower academics that the big dumb jocks.
