SOMEBODY'S SMOKING SOMETHING, AND IT'S NOT OUR SHOOTING PERCENTAGE! THIS LOOKS LIKE IT'S GOING TO BE A LOOOOOONG AND BRUTAL SEASON! hOW DID THIS TEAM GET WORSE??? Let's see:
- Your top returning scorer is out (I know you don't want to hear it, but it's true).
- Your best players are a wonderful swingman (Roberts) and a seriously undersized power forward.
- Graduation cost you two guys (Simpson and Castro) who started for most of their four years here, and a third (Isham) who started a hell of a lot, too.
- You've got a 7-foot-1 center out for who knows how long with a back injury, and a 6-11 small forward playing center on one foot.
- You've got a point guard who is adjusting to new teammates, and who (while perhaps as talented as advertised) is no closer to his listed six feet tall than Jessie Henderson is.
- Two newcomers (Morris and Epps) who look like they have ability but need to drop some weight.

And you thought this team was going to be better? I'm eager to watch them compete for some conference wins, but the idea tht they'd be better is foolish.

Boy, you're a fierce one. Look, when Bill Parcells dismisses his skeptics by saying his team (or an opponent) "is what it is," he's lionized as a savvy veteran coach. Corso didn't say anything that's not 100 percent true. I'm with him, and I'm supporting this team from start to finish. But .... it is what it is.
