last heard he was to have been at A&M Commerce this year, but I didn't notice his name listed on a roster when I checked it out of curiousity earlier in the season.

yeah he doesn't appear in their defensive stats either. But I did find two former SMU players Anthony Barnett and the infamous Marcus Mosely.

Desmond is at Tarleton State in Stephenville. Had some academic problems and had to leave.

Well that sure would be nice. Esp. with how well the D-line was playing at the end of the year. Bonus!

That would be nice, indeed. But somehow, I don't see it. If he had academic trouble before, that's hard to rectify with our class-transfer rules, right?
Funny thing is: I heard Kendall Mouton wants back in. Hadn't heard a peep about Desmond Jones.

once they've left and played for another school don't they have to sit out a year or something?

I have talked to Kendall's dad at the games. He goes to every one. He told me the he would like to and is trying to come back to SMU. That would give us much more depth at DL. And Sam is right he didnt leave for academic reasons.

Well, I think we're splitting hairs -- academics were part of it, but you're right .... not the whole picture. It would be a nice bonus to have him back, though. Got my fingers crossed.

Could be wrong but think as long as it isn't for a d1 school then they don't have sit. You can transfer from JC directly to d1 and same from d1AA to D1.

first off, I'd love for Des to come back...but he is a good friend of mine, he wouldn't lie to me on why he left.
